A-Line Vest from front

The A-Line Vest I knit last November.

It’s been languishing at the back of the closet since I made it.

I’ve taken it out many times, planning on finally wearing it. Every time saying “I KNOW it will look good with this pair of pants/this skirt/this pair of jeans.” It never does.

The yarn (Malabrigo Chunky) is far far far too nice to sit neglected in a dark closet.

I am thinking that it’s second lease on life may be as a top down, stranded yoke, raglan sweater. I’ve got some Fuscia (not a typo - it’s how they spelled it…) Malabrigo Chunky and I do love brown and pink together.

Besides, I’ll get to enjoy knitting with it all over again!

Hmmmm - Should I be concerned that I am frogging so much stuff lately??????

Nothing feels as good as good frog fest from time to time :)

    Cheers Eva

I go thru a frogging fest every once and a while - I frogged I think 3 sweaters not too long ago!! May as well use the yarn for something you’ll wear! I love brown and pink - that will be great!

No, frogging means you’re being realistic. Altho, maybe it means you need more planning time up front, I guess…

OMG! That is going to look fantastic!
Good for you, the projects that your frogging deserved to be loved.

I don’t know if it is that time of year, or if the whole nation (and economy) is kind of rethinking its priorities and deciding what needs to go and what should stay (maybe we should have done this before all the sub-prime mess). I think frogging is the way to reutilize things that will never be and maybe should not be. Kind of like a garagesale except you get to find a new life for the yarn. :)

Nah! The way I see it, you’re getting double value from your yarn. Not to mention keeping the stash from growing (much.) ;-)
