Scheduled to appear this evening:
The back of Mom’s Cable and Lattice Pullover:

This was started more than 4 years ago and has sat sealed in a ziploc for almost all of it’s life. A couple of years ago, I attempted to start the front, but my gauge was so drastically different that it was coming out a full 4 inches larger (at least). I tried several different size needles and just couldn’t match my gauge or even get close. I’ve ignored the reality of this sweater for far too long.
To the frog pond it goes.
Celtic Dreams

A perfectly lovely sweater by Beth Brown Reinsel. I was enamored with this sweater last year. I HADTOMAKEITRIGHTNOWDAMMIT.
I started it last January and I haven’t touched it at all since the very beginning of July.
I’m just not feeling the Celtic Love anymore.
Ribbit.
My Scrunchable

While I called it frogged a few weeks ago, the closest this has actually come to the frog pond was pulling the needles out. It’ll be ripped tonight.
I performed the same ritual last year and it felt so good. Weird but good.
This will leave me with just one “official” project on the needles (socks don’t count - they’ll be picked up again during spring training).
You’ll have to wait and find out the new project details after the new year. =)
Oh! I also got a new haircut to ring in the new year. Fresh start and all…you know.

(ummm - how long has my hair been this red??????)
Be safe everyone and Happy New Year!

so true, socks don’t count! Hope you have a happy new year.
I found your blog on Cathy’s (tightly wound~loosely knit) list of Comforting Jenn knitters. Cathy isn’t doing to well, and would like to do something for her. Without giving to much away, can you please email me? You wouldn’t be committing to anything. Thanks so much.
btw, love your hair cut and your red hair

Do you frog happily and easily, or aided by an alcoholic beverage or two?? Cute ‘do!

Happy New Year dear! I love the cut. I’ve gotta go get something done to mine (eek-I see white hairs)!
Have fun with the frogging. I’m gonna be a copy cat and do the same thing, although it might make me cry it sounds like a great idea. Have fun!!

Happy New Year! Wow - you are a brave frogger. Those are lovely pieces, but if they need frogging, they were looking for it.
Excellent hair cut, a nice way to start the new year.

Congrats on the frogging party. Must feel good to have some of that off your plate. The haircut (and color) looks great! Fun to have something fresh for the new year I’m sure. I changed mine a few months back and I’m still loving it.

I can’t believe you frogged the sweater you were making for your mother…okay 4 years is a bit much, but it was so beautiful!

sounds very liberating!!!! I always find frogging very therapeutic. Now you can use the yarn for other things!
