8 days of no blogging.
You’d think I’d have an overflowing fount of knitterly goodness to show off/talk about, wouldn’t ya?
Yeah, I’ve got bupkus.
Well, maybe a few things, but nothing all that interesting. Life, work, business ownership. It all kind of gets in the way of the fun stuff, know what I mean?

I think I may have finally gotten the Foliage bug out of my system, though. It only took five of them to do it. =)
And here’s number 5:

I also finished the back of the A-Line Vest from the new Knit.1 and I’m really torn/dismayed/pissed. I love the pattern, I love the yarn, I love the adorable style, but I hate the color inconsistencies in lots of hand-dyed yarn that are all labeled as the same batch.
Whaddaya think? Bearable? Horrible? Fugly? Ribbit?
I’m really reaching here, but maybe (just maybe?) when I wet block/wash it maybe the darker portion will lighten while the bottom stays the same color?
Hey. I didn’t say it was a reasonable reach. Just a reach.
And no, I didn’t alternate skeins every 2 rows. Yes, I should have. But I didn’t. =P
(Oh, and NaKniSweMo went out the window within a couple of days of signing up. My bad. Gauge issues. Since there’s nowhere near enough stitches in the vest to count in the KAL, I’m out.)
******************************
I’ve done some spinning, too:
Brewster
Green-O Merino
******************************
And I’ve started pre-drafting the Highlighter roving from Cabin Cove. (squee!)
******************************
I may or may not have started another, different, hat project.
I may or may not have started the sleeves to the Bulls Eye Sweater.
******************************
I guess I’ve done more than I thought! =)
Have a great weekend!

Like I said, I think the vest looks fine but I can see the other side too since I’m all about matching myself. Good luck. It would be a shame to ribbit though.

I’m sorry about your sweater issues… but at least the spinning is there to make up for it!
Those are some VERY pretty skeins you’ve made.

Um, alas, I don’t think that reach is going to resolve the problem… Woe! Only 5 to get it out of your system? Not bad!

maybe you could overdye the whole vest once it’s done…

I’m with Beth S the spinning definitely outweighs the knitting problems and maybe Steph is right…overdye.

love the green-o!!!! on the sweater, I’m concerned about that as well with some Nature Wool I have - what about overdying? Life, work and other stuff has been priority around here with no knitting to speak of - so frustrating!
