I fell asleep at 7:30 last night and slept until 5:00 this morning. I can’t believe I passed out at seven-freakin-thirty. My grandma used to stay up later than that.

Jeesh.

I’m also insanely bored at work today, I can’t find anything to buy online, I’ve cleaned my car, and gone to the store. Thank God it’s almost time to go home, right? Crap. It’s only 2:30.

I can’t get my Lime & Violet user name and password to match/work, which means when they update I’m screwed. I just got my new password email. It’s all good, now they just need to update. =)

Red Sox Yankees series starts tonight. The Yankees are playing so badly that it just sucks the fun out of the whole rivalry thing. I can only hope that the Sox go for the jugular and put the Yankees in the rearview mirror once and for all this year.

I’m planning on doing some spinning this weekend. My time has been pretty much exclusive to socks lately and I’m feeling the desire to do something else for a bit. Well, except for one hat out of my homespun. I got some good stuff at MA S&W last weekend and I’m anxious to start spinning it up. Among the goodies are some fibers I’ve never spun before which was the goal for at least a portion of my purchases there this year.

From the fibers I’ve never spun before pile:

South African Fine:

From Spunky Eclectic, 8 ozs., Pink Lemonade colorway. I’ve been dying to try this fiber, it feels so soft!

Pure Angora:

From Acker’s Acres Angora, 3 ozs, white.

Talk about soft! DUDE. It’s roll-around-in-it-nekkid soft. However, I will control myself and refrain from anything that involves nekkid around the bunny fur. ;)
Merino/Tencel:

From The Sheep Shed at Mountain View Farm, 4 ozs, Summer Fields colorway. Another fiber blend that I’ve been dying to try. I love the sheen that the tencel gives.

Now for the tried and true standbys that I have spun before:

BFL:

Also from the Spunky One, 8 ozs., Purple Haze colorway. I should just set up direct transfers to her. (Wait. I already do! =) )

And just for fun:

I can’t remember which Vendor I got this from, but it’s A merino batt, from Spin-A-Bit, dyed to look like watermelon. Complete with seeds. I couldn’t pass it up. It may come out looking like ass, but I’ll still have fun with it. =)

I hope you all have a great weekend!
